Story Synopsis

Kita Yuji has recently started the first grade and is determined to make new friends at school. However, what they discover upon returning home will derail him from his idyllic life and drive him into a life of seclusion for the remainder of his childhood and into his teens.

After years of avoiding society where possible, Yuji's life gets overturned once more, and is forced to try and integrate back into that society he'd been avoiding.  He returns to the city he used to live in  to start high school for the very first time, as a junior. 

Although Yuji struggles as a new student, he is assigned three personal tutors to help him with his poor academic performance. To his surprise, the tutors happen to be three of his fellow female classmates.

As Yuji and the girls get to know one another, he realizes that he's not the only one with difficult life circumstances. 

- How will Yuji adapt to his new school life?
- How will he help his new friends overcome their troubles?

Notes

Embers of Truth is a visual novel based in fictional, modern day Japan. This visual novel was created amongst a few close friends. With very little to no experience between us, we have created this visual novel as a passion-project. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we did creating it.

Asano Suzu

Suzu is sarcastic, charismatic, and full of life.  She wants nothing more than to enjoy each day to its absolute fullest.  She can be a bit of a handful, and occasionally has fun at someone else's expense. Suzu loves fashion, art, and anything computer-related.

Yamamura Ichika

Ichika is the embodiment of dedication and hard work. She is both a perfectionist and her own worst critic, especially when it comes to physical activities. There are times when she needs to learn to not take things so seriously and live a little bit. Ichika loves kendo, cherry cola, and anime (but don't tell anyone...).

Aoyama Eri

You will be hard-pressed to find a more caring and kind person than Eri. Her shy and timid personality keeps her out of the spotlight, and in most cases, you won't even notice that she's in the same room as you. Eri loves learning new things, cooking, and world history.
